Racism
Racism is the discrimination based upon race or ethnicity of people.Racism is when a person is treated worse, harassed, bullied, humiliated because of their race or ethnicity.Systemic racism systematically and pervasively puts Black people, Indigenous people, and other people of color at compounded disadvantage within society.Racism can impact on a victim, their family and community, especially when the response of the leaders, neighbours and authorities is poor.A person who believes one race is better than another is racist. Racists discriminate against other races. If someone believes one race is inherently superior, that person is racist.Racism prevents communities of color from accessing resources and opportunities, and negatively affects overall health and well-being Racial trauma can lead to an increased risk of physical and mental health problems. Emotional difficulties, such as stress, anxiety, depression, can impact daily functioning in school, work or at home.Discrimination happens when people act on their prejudices or stereotypes.Treat people equally no matter what their skin look like or how their body is build. Discrimination is harmful and perpetuates inequality. We all have the right to be treated equally, regardless of our race, ethnicity, nationality, class, caste, religion, belief, sex, gender, language, sexual orientation, gender identity, sex characteristics, age, health or other status.Spread some awareness to the people you know that RACISM is bad and it doesn't give you any advantages. Don't be biased to everyone according to their color.
Here are three essential steps to stop racism:
1. Acknowledge racism in all its forms.
2. Overturn racist and discriminatory laws.
3. Commit to anti-racism.
Every day, each and every one of us can stand up against racial prejudice and disrespectful attitudes.Lets build a world beyond racism and discrimination, where we all exercise our human rights.
